Elizabeth Salerno
Elizabeth Salerno was born in South Korea and raised in the United States. She completed her Bachelor of Music and Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa where she studied with Nicole Esposito. She has been awarded several prizes including the Stanley Undergraduate Award to pursue additional chamber music studies in Vienna, Austria and was selected as a winner of the 2016 National Flute Association Masterclass Competition. She has participated in masterclasses with Emily Beynon, Vincent Lucas, Michel Hasel, Marianne Gedigian, Michel Bellevance, Julien Beaudiment, and Angela Jones-Reus, among others. She has spent summers attending orchestral programs including the National Music Festival, Miami Orchestral Institute, and the Marrowstone Music Festival where she also served as principal flute of the Seattle Summer Opera Academy. Elizabeth is currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Ulla Miilmann, solo flutist of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (DR Symfoniorkestret.)
